Back when our distillery was just the spark of an idea, we dreamed about what it would be like to work with a team of talented people one day, and as 2022 kicked off we were thrilled to have gone from just myself and Jonny doing everything to sharing every part of the process with some of the most incredible people we could have hoped to meet.

Our Uist team has expanded to include: an apprentice distiller, an office superhero, a bottling badass, a master of project coordination, a marketing maestro and several enthusiastic gin ambassadors. We are beyond excited to imagine who might join our team over the coming year as we move further along our Uist whisky journey and into our new home at Benbecula's historic Nunton Steadings. 

We are always striving to create sustainable employment for the islands and to be the best employers that we can be. That is why every member of the team is now officially a shareholder in North Uist Distillery and the sense of genuine investment and collaboration that we dreamed of back in the very beginning is now a reality.
