    Every single precious drop of Uist Whisky comes directly from our beloved Hebridean home, for an authentic island spirit that is fully traceable from land to hand. With a proud focus on provenance and flavour, everything we do is inspired by our environment and our community, from using heritage bere barley grown by local crofters, to building our own on-island malting plant. Ensuring that every cask we fill will always be the purest expression of Island Life. Distilled.
    Our whisky range will champion the use of the finest bere barley, a historic grain first grown in neolithic times. Used for the first whiskies ever distilled in Scotland, it sadly fell out of favour - replaced with other grains that were faster to grow and cheaper to buy. Luckily for us, bere happens to be grown and harvested right here on the island and we are proud that our whisky range will take full advantage of this superior grain as we look to support a new generation of crofters while producing some of Scotland’s finest single malts for a true taste of Island Life. Distilled.
    Our island distillery is dedicated to doing things the right way, not the easy way. Like the loving conversion of our historic 1700s home into the very first Scottish distillery to be fully powered by electrical energy. There's also the fact that we are committed to using the finest ancient bere barley grains grown and harvested right here on our island home. And because we know it's all in the detail, we're even building our own island maltings, to harness the full flavour potential that exists within this special Hebridean whisky of ours.
