Citrus Cloud Downpour Gin Sour Recipe. North Uist Distillery.

A silky smooth orange and ginger sour, the Citrus Cloud is a delicious way to turn your Downpour Scottish Dry Gin into a sophisticated drink that will have you floating off to cloud 9.

With the fresh, bright flavours of orange and lime and the spicy kick of ginger, this is a perfect way to try an egg white cocktail at home and get lost in the flavours of a bright, sunshiny sky.

If you're on the islands, make sure to pick up some super fresh free range eggs from one of Uist's many local egg boxes, and shake shake shake to create that luscious frothy cloud and silky texture (you don't need a cocktail shaker, an empty jar with a *tight-fitting* lid will do just the trick!)

40ml Downpour Scottish Dry Gin
10ml Suze
20ml Dry Vermouth
25ml Lime
20ml Fresh Orange Juice
15ml Ginger Syrup
Egg Whites
Garnish : Strawberry Gum Powder

40ml Downpour Scottish Dry Gin
25ml Lime
20ml Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
15ml Sugar Syrup
A Few Slices of Fresh Ginger
Egg Whites

Shake all of the ingredients without ice to begin with (dry shake) allowing the egg whites to fully mix into the other ingredients. Next add the ice and shake altogether to froth the egg whites.
Strain into a chilled glass.
