It is always important to us that our island home at the historic Nunton Steadings is more than just a distillery, that it is a hub of island activity and continues to be the vibrant, exciting gathering place for islanders and visitors that it has been throughout its busy history.
So while we wait for our whisky distilling equipment to arrive we have turned over the spaces we aren't currently using to Edge, a group of contemporary North Uist artists, to showcase several years of their work together.
Paintings, sculptures, drawings and experimental book binding now fill what will be our distilling and cask storage areas, and decorate the walls of our tasting room. The contemporary art work looks fantastic against the historic cobbles of our stables, and the big open space of the future distillery has come to life with the addition of these exciting pieces of work.
The exhibition runs from April 23rd - May 7th the end of May and is open during shop hours. We would love it if you called in and said hello!
