Join us at Nunton Steadings Visitor Centre, home to North Uist Distillery, to learn about Downpour Gin, botanicals, the distillation process, recipe development, our distillery and island life.
You will enjoy a guided tour of the Distillery, Visitor Centre and Warehouse 1, and meet our friendly distillery team.
We will then take you through to our tasting room, where you can relax and enjoy a perfect serve of our award winning gin range and a sample of our newest addition to our range, our Hebridean Spiced Rum.
- Adult Tasting: 4 x 25ml perfect serves of each of our flavours of Downpour Gin. Pre-poured measures. A 5ml sample of our Hebridean Spiced Rum.
- Adult Driving: Choose 2 x 5cl minis and tonics to take home.
- If you change from an adult tasting to an adult driving you must notify us by the previous day as we pre-pour your four measures.
- Children are welcome - please call 01870603792 to check availability and book spaces for children to allow us to add in extra seating.
- Please note we are not always in production over the weekends.
- Please note that we require a minimum of four people to run a tasting. If we don't meet this minimum we may get in touch to rearrange or organise an informal sampling at the bar.
- A full refund will be given for cancellations made 24 hours prior to the tour. No refunds will be available after this. Please e-mail us to arrange a cancellation.
- We have a grated floor in our production hall and cobbled floor in our Warehouse, please ensure you wear suitable footwear.
- The building is fully accessible, however access to the production hall via mezzanine deck is unsuitable for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility, so an alternative route on the lower level will be used. Please contact us in advance to ensure we can arrange for you.
- Unfortunately, due to food standard regulations, we are unable to accept dogs on our tours and tastings. If you require an assistance dog, please contact us in advance.
